Nursin Hurse

After staying up chatting about how much we missed Nundroo and then a good nights sleep in the YHA we were greeted by our 2 compadres.. Haylie and Anrielle ! (with an awful lot of screaming) And..... FREE pancakes
The 5 of us found a beautiful big park to pull up in and unload Hursula , it was here that we had our first impromptu Family band session to "Home among the gum trees" another John Williamson favorite.

After this we decided to hit the tarmac on the road to THE BAROSSA , on our way we all made up names to suit our time to be spent at the wineries
Tammy - Helen    Asha- Marigold    Haylie- Blanche    Anrielle- Winnie  Lizzy- Prudence

With our names decided on we rocked into Tanunda caravan park, Awesome caravan park !! set up tent, had a delicious prawn pasta (only took 3 hours to make )  and made our way to Tanunda tavern for apple jacks, juke box sessions and a good hearty meal... Good times were had by all and on our way home Haylie rode a post box and we all did some quick hedging

Next day was an interesting day for Hursula ... We had eaten breaky and got ourselves ready and took off for the meeting.  Once the meeting was finished and we met a bunch of awesome people , one of whom was Leslie .. She invited us back for a cuppa which we all were keen for, so we all piled into Hursula and as she was put in reverse Hurses gears went flaccid (part of the steering mechanism snapped, a weak weld) .... Well if it had to happen , we were in the best place for Hurse to be nursed .. Luke , Pete and Phil stepped up and were on the job straight away! Leslie and Alicia fixed us all lunch and lent us a car for the afternoon and mapped out for us an afternoon of wineries
Maggie Beer had us to her kitchen where the 'cook and the chef' is filmed, we test tasted all of her creations and enjoyed a coffee on the porch

Next stop was Langmiel winery . .. The bouquet was rich on the palate , hints of chocolate and almonds , the legs were a plenty .. Jodi looked after us so well! what a gorgeous girl... She gave us wine glasses with wine glass holders that hung around our necks, score!!

So with our new wine glasses around our necks we headed back to cook up a delicious roast veggies dinner where we met Terry and Christine , a couple from w.a who had been traveling around Oz for a couple of months

This is Terry & Christine when Terry was 21 & Christine was 15yrs old.
They didnt last as Christine was too young. Then they met 26 years later and got married. They own and farm their own beef, loving each one and they all have a name.. abe, zach, ozzie (after ozzie osborne) and cosmo.
They have been married since 2000. Finally after 39 years!

We couldn't leave the Barossa without a quick photo shoot at an old abandoned house and another winery 'Artisians' at 10 am (never too early for wine) very good wine.. We all tasted till our hearts were content.

On the way out of town , a quick toilet stop at the Springton Hotel.... An hour later , after pints of coopers, games of pool, juke box session and free coopers monkeys and a very old Teddy given to us from Rob we made it about 500 meters down the road to stop at the Springton Family Tree- where a family of 8 lived for 5 years in the 1800's ..amazing

Next service station stop were asked if we were a band and Tammy snuck a cat in the car that she had found near a picnic table
Then Hursula hit the road to Mount Gambia !!  (not with the cat)
